Pickup, School Bus Collision Sends Two to Hospital with Serious Injuries

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A crash involving a Laurel County school bus and a pickup truck sent to people to the hospital with serious injuries Wednesday morning.

The Sheriff says the wreck happened at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday morning on KY 638 (McWhorter Road.)  According to the Sheriff, Donna Morgan, who was driving the school bus eastbound, lost control on rain-slick roadways, and ended up sliding into the path of a westbound Ford pickup truck.

No injuries were reported on the school bus, which was carrying Morgan, a bus monitor, and one 11-year-old student.  The students was taken to St. Joseph Hospital London as a precautionary measure.

The two occupants of the pickup truck had to be cut out by a London Laurel Rescue squad.  They were taken to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of serious injuries.
