Pharmacies, first-responders partner on Jessamine bike, water safety, fun days
JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Jessamine County residents are encouraged to mark Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, June 19 on their calendars—and stop by Med-Save Pharmacy Wilmore (June 12), and Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville (June 19) for lots of free and fun activities, treats, and giveaways offered by Jessamine County’s two Med-Save pharmacies and Jessamine County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
On Saturday, June 12 from 12-3 p.m., Med-Save Pharmacy Wilmore kicks off the fun with “Kids’ Bike Safety Day” which is an afternoon of giveaways and free activities designed to help children and parents learn bike safety rules.
The free event will take place at 201 E. Main St., Wilmore, in the parking lot between Med-Save Wilmore and Wilmore Methodist Church. During the event, participants will enjoy a Bike Safety Obstacle Course, Free bike helmets, “How to be a Hero using Hands Only CPR” demos by Jessamine EMS, Bike Safety Demonstration by the Nicholasville Police Bike Unit, and fFree hot dogs, sunscreen, water bottles, snow cones, and face painting, plus a boy and girl bike giveaway.
Jessamine Beef Cattle Association will be cooking in the adjacent parking lot, so stop by JBCA to purchase a hamburger or hot dog, then stroll over to Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville for free Kids’ Water Safety Day fun, including: Free “Fish for Prizes” games, “How to be a Hero using Hands Only CPR” demos by Jessamine EMS, Jessamine Aquatic Center Pass Packages (4 packages, with 4 passes in each package) giveaways, Free face painting, snow cones and other treats, Giveaways and prizes including squirt guns, sunscreen, water bottles and Coast Guard approved life jackets.
On June 19, enjoy even more fun, free activities and giveaways with “Kids’ Water Safety Day” at Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville, 1025 N. Main St., Nicholasville (in front of Tractor Supply).
