PGA Tour making stop in Central KY

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – There won’t be a lull this summer for Central Kentucky sports fans.  Right after the Quaker State 400 wraps up at Kentucky Speedway, it’s time for golf in the Bluegrass.

The PGA Tour stops in at Keene Trace for the Barbasol Championship the same week as the British Open in mid-July.  It’ll be a chance to see some local talent hit the course to start their careers as well as some more established names in the game look to claim a cash prize purse.

Check out the event website for all the info you need to know, including on how to volunteer.  A $75 volunteer fee gets you meals, gear and a round of golf and is no doubt the best deal on the table.  Roughly 600 volunteers are still needed for the tournament.

Check out the video for a recap of the media day event and some fun at the anchor desk back in studio as well!
