UPDATE: Man charged in shooting death of 28-year-old

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are looking for information in connection with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man Sunday evening on Pennebaker Drive.
According to police, shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021, officers responded to the 1000 block of Pennebaker Drive for a reported shooting. The victim, a 28-year-old man, later identified as Devante Bell, was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to shots fired.
Bell was transported UK Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to the coroner’s office.
During the investigation a 37-year-old suspect, Carl Munford, was arrested and charged with murder and wanton endangerment 1st.
Munford is currently lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 28-year-ld Lexington man was killed in a shooting Sunday night, marking the second fatal shooting within hours.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said Devante Bell was pronounced dead at the University of Kentucky Medical Center at 7:43 p.m. He’d been taken there following a shooting just after 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Pennebaker Drive, Ginn said.
He died from a gunshot wound, Ginn said. An autopsy is scheduled for today. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A shooting Sunday night left one person fighting for their life, another in custody and several others charged with disorderly conduct.
According to Lexington Police, officers responded to a shots-fired call at 7:09 p.m. on Pennebaker Drive.
At the scene, they found a victim, who was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One person was detained as a suspect, police said.
Multiple people were charged with disorderly conduct when police said a dispute broke out among people watching the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate.
