Protesters greet Vice President Pence in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Hundreds of people gathered outside Bryant’s Rent-All in Lexington Wednesday afternoon for Vice President Mike Pence’s visit.
They were there to protest the GOP plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
Critics of the plan say they’re upset because they believe everyone should have the same right to coverage.
Protesters say the people who will lose their health care are more than just people.
“It’s not just some random statistic of 28,000 people will die each year from this Republican health care bill. It’s 28,000 people who are mothers and children and aunts and cousins and best friends, said protester Jamie Duncan.
