People in Lawrenceburg hoping to make road safer
LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some people in Lawrenceburg are hoping to make their road safer.
Residents of Graefenburg Road, or Highway 151, have started a petition asking the state to have an engineering study done.
They hope the study would show if the road meets current standards for heavy, high-speed traffic and if the weight load of the road exceeds current standards.
An informational meeting was held Monday night at the Alton Christian Church. For more information call: (502)418-7770 or (502) 418-0923.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says there were 88 accidents on Graefenburg Road from 2012-2014.
KYTC has Graefenburg Road on the unfunded project list meaning it would like for the legislature to fund improvement work.
