Pedestrian identified in fatal crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 32-year-old Lexington man has been identified as the victim in an accidental pedestrian death Wednesday night on a busy Lexington road.

According to Fayette County Coroner Gary Finn, Christopher Knecht was pronounced dead at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Richmond Road earlier that evening, according to Ginn’s report.

Ginn listed the cause of death as “multiple blunt force trauma” and the manner of death as “accidental.”
