Pedestrian hit and killed in Scott County

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) The Scott County coroner has identified a man hit and killed on a road late Monday night.

The coroner says 48-year-old Keith Burns of London was walking northbound on US 25 at around 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a sedan from behind.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner says it appears Burns was walking in the roadway.

The driver of the sedan is not expected to be charged.
