UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly Lewis Co. crash

LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-We now know the name of the woman who was killed after being hit by a car on KY 8 at St. Paul Tuesday morning.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was identified as 32-year-old Tabitha McNeely, of Portsmouth, Ohio.

The sheriff says McNeely was walking on KY 8 near Scaffold Lick Road when she was hit by a car. McNeely was taken to a hospital in Ohio, where she died.

The crash is still under investigation.

LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was killed while walking along a road in Lewis County on Tuesday.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was walking on KY 8 near Scaffold Lick Road around 4:30 a.m. when she was hit by a car.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Ohio, where she was pronounced dead.

Her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
