Pavement break shuts down part of KY 613 in Powell Co.

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a pavement break has caused a highway closure in Powell County.

KYTC says a portion of KY 613, one mile west of the Menifee County line, closed after the break.

State transportation officials say the repairs will take some time, as extensive steel drilling is required. They aren’t sure how long it will take to reopen the road.

A detour has been put into place at KY 11/KY 15, KY 77, and Forest Service Route 23.
