Parents arrested after children found living in deplorable conditions

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office say two people have been arrested after several children under the age of 12 were found living in deplorable conditions.

Deputies say Elizabeth Spencer and Jeffrey Spencer Jr. were arrested Sunday in Laurel County.

Deputies say there was trash throughout the home, a roach infestation, and spoiled food throughout the home.

The sheriff’s office says the children were removed from the home by social services.
