Parent Wins Coin Toss To Join Superintendent Screening Panel
The Fayette County superintendent screening committee added a parent to its panel.
Sharon Mofield-Boswell will join the group after winning a coin toss Monday.
State law required the committee searching for Doctor Tom Shelton’s replacement to have a parent or guardian.
PTA presidents in the district casted ballots to determine who would fill the position.
But the school system said Roger Cleveland and Mofield-Boswell had tied.
The committee will make a recommendation on who should replace Dr. Tom Shelton.
Shelton stepped down as superintendent to take a job with the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents.
