Overdue library book sends Lt. Governor candidate to jail

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) –  A candidate for Kentucky’s Lieutenant Governor could get the book thrown at him, for an overdue library fine!

33 year-old Johnathan Masters is a democratic challenger for the office.  According to the Huffington Post, he was pulled over by a state trooper while driving to Bowling Green for a television interview.  Masters says he was stopped for expired tags and thought he would get off with a warning.  After the trooper went to his car, however, he came back and asked Masters about a library book he checked out 11 years ago.

Apparently, Masters had a warrant out for his arrest over it.  Masters was taken to jail for about three hours, and paid 100-dollars bond to get out.
