Outdoor warning siren testing scheduled Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Lexington Emergency Management says it will test its network of outdoor warning signs Wednesday morning.
The sirens will begin at 10 a.m.
LEM says if you live near a park or golf course, expect to hear the outdoor siren sound a series of chimes followed by a voice announcement “This is a test”.
This scheduled test happens regularly, the first Wednesday of each month when severe weather is not expected.
This is no emergency so LEM asks you not to call 9-1-1 for information about the siren test.
