Our nice stretch of weather is coming to an end
Here is your Wednesday evening ABC 36 Storm Team forecast
Lexington, Kentucky (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Wednesday evening everyone, it has been another BEAUTIFUL spring like day here in Kentucky in early February with mostly sunny skies and temperatures hitting the low 60s. We have one more fantastic day on Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the low 60s. ENJOY IT!!
Changes start to show up on Friday with rain showers entering the picture once again. It will not rain all day, but you’ll want to have your rain gear handy. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s.
The most widespread rain will come early Saturday morning to early Sunday morning. Some locally heavy rain is possible during this time, especially across southern and southeastern Kentucky. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s Saturday dropping into the 40s on Sunday.
We look to dry it out for most of Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 50s. Winds will be gusty as well.
Another system moves in Monday – early Tuesday with more rain and we could end it as a little wintry mix and/or snow.
Rain totals through Tuesday morning look like a general 1″-2″ across the entire state. This includes the Friday – Saturday system and Monday system.
Temperatures behind this turn colder than normal for the remainder of the month.
As always, stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team for updates through it all. #kywx
