UPDATE: One person dead after garage explosion, Sheriff’s Office says; Coroner identifies victim
UPDATE: The Pulaski County Coroner identified the victim as 43-year-old Chris Fineberg.

SOMERSET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed one person has died after an explosion that occurred in a neighborhood Sunday morning.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, multiple agencies were called to the 200 block of Hidden Crest Drive for a report of an explosion.
Upon arrival, they found a garage behind the residence had been destroyed by the explosion as well as damage to other properties in the area.
They also discovered one male deceased at the scene.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and is believed to be tied to fireworks and other material in the garage.
The death investigation is being investigated by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff seeks to ensure citizens that there is no threats to the public and says the public should continue to void the area and that if you find something that looks like debris from the explosion, do not touch it and notify the ATF or local law enforcement.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
