UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly crash in Bell County

Update:  Wednesday, September 30, 2020:

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man who died after his car crashed into an abandoned house in Bell County early Tuesday morning has been identified.

The Bell County coroner says the crash victim was 21-year old Ben Goodin, of Pineville, according to a report from WRIL radio.

The accident happened on Highway 190 just before 5:30 a.m., according to investigators.

Goodin was pronounced dead at the scene.

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person was killed early Tuesday morning when a car crashed into an abandoned home in Bell County.

According to the Bell County Sheriff’s Department and WRIL radio, the accident happened at about 5:24 a.m. on Highway 190 about 5.5 miles from Highway 25E.

When Deputies Frank Foster, Nathaniel Price, and Sgt. Patrick Brooks along with Bell County EMS, Bell County Rescue Squad, and Bell County Volunteer Fire Department, arrived, they found a vehicle left the road and struck an abandoned home. The driver was killed on impact.

Bell County Deputy Coroner Jason Steele has responded and after contacting next of kin, will release the identity.
