One killed, two hospitalized, in Carroll Co. crash

CARROLLTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person was killed Monday morning in a two vehicle collision on HWY 36 in Carroll Co.

Kentucky State Police say they received a call from the Carroll Co. Sheriff’s Office around 8:00 a.m. requesting assistance with the wreck.  Investigators on the scene said that a car heading eastbound on the highway was hit head-on when a car heading west, crossed the center line.

The driver of the car headed west, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital by helicopter.  A 14-year old boy, the passenger in the eastbound car was taken to Carroll Co. Hospital.  The driver of that vehicle, Sadie McKinley, 34, of Milton, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll Co. Coroner.

Troopers say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
