One dead, two in critical condition after crash in McLean Co.

LIVERMORE, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police say they are investigating a crash that killed a man and injured two others.

Troopers say US 431, in McLean County, was shut down for two hours around 4:15 p.m.

Investigators say 72-year-old Phillip R. Atherton and 44-year-old Phillip C. Atherton were in a Kubota UTV on Barrett Hill Road, when the UTV pulled onto US 431, into the path of 87-year-old Elmo West.

KSP says Phillip R. Atherton was pronounced dead at the scene. Phillip C. Atherton and Elmo West were taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Both are in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
