UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in Mercer County identified

Update:  Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. EST

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who was hit and killed while walking in the middle of a road in Mercer County late Monday night has been identified.

Deputies say the victim was Pamela Shepard, who was living in Harrodsburg at the time of her death.

Investigators say she was hit on US 127 at McAfee Lane.  Deputies say the driver was not charged.

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The transportation cabinet said one person is dead following a pedestrian involved car crash.

It happened on US 127 Northbound at McAfee Lane around 10:30 Monday night.

Officials said two lanes are blocked and all Northbound traffic is being rerouted to Garriott Lane.

Information about the cause of the crash weren’t readily available.
