One dead after Lincoln County overnight crash

CRAB ORCHARD, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says one person is dead after a single vehicle crash on KY-39 South just after midnight on Tuesday.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just south of Crab Orchard.

They say the car left the roadway and rolled, before hitting a tree on the driver’s side.

According to police, one person, 50-year-old Lawrence Burdette, of Mount Vernon, was pronounced dead on the scene.

They are still investigating the cause of the crash.
