One dead following accident in Madison County

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal accident involving two vehicles at the Estill-Madison County line.

The accident happened just after 1:50 p.m. Tuesday on Irvine Road at Drowning Creek Road.

According to police, 35-year-old Kimberly Isaacs, of Irvine, attempted to make a left turn into a driveway and collided with a car being driven by 57-year-old Farris Marcum, also of Irvine.

Marcum’s passenger, 56-year-old Donna Marcum, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison County coroner.

Farris Marcum was taken to the University of Kentucky to be treated for his injuries.
