Man dies in Bell County crash

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man died in a violent crash in Bell County Friday morning.

The coroner identified the victim as 33-year old James Hatfield.

Pineville Police say Hatfield’s 1994 Ford Mustang ran off U.S. 25 E, north of Pineville, hit a rock wall and flipped several times, ejecting Hatfield.

He was pronounced dead at Southeast Kentucky Medical Center at 9:30 a.m.

An autopsy is scheduled Saturday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
