One Arrested, One Sought in Stolen Truck Case
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Laurel County Sheriff John Root says a teenager was arrested after a scuffle when he was found in a stolen truck Wednesday morning.
According to the Sheriff, 18-year-old Alexander Finley, of London, was arrested around 8:45 a.m. off Mullins Road.
The Sheriff says deputies were sent to the area on reports of a stolen truck that was being tracked by GPS. The 2001 Chevrolet Silverado had been reported stolen from a driveway on Fort Street in Corbin, Kentucky.
City Police called the Sheriff’s Office when the GPS tracker indicated that the truck had entered Laurel County.
Deputies found the truck behind a home on Mullins Road with Finley and an unidentified woman inside.
Investigators say they were able to take Finley into custody after a brief scuffle, but that the woman ran off and it still being sought by the Sheriff’s Office.
Finley was charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and tampering with physical evidence.
He was taken to the Laurel Co. Detention Center.
