One arrested, one sought in Hume Road theft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have one suspect in custody and are looking for a second after the men were seen stealing from a utility trailer on Hume Road.

According to the Lexington Police Department, a Kentucky State Trooper was headed to Paris on Hume Road when he saw a man throwing equipment from the trailer into a van.

Police say the trooper pulled off to investigate, but the van took off, driving through the surrounding grass and speeding away down Bryan Station Road.

According to officers, that’s when the the van crashed into a rock fence.  Officers say two men got out of the van and ran off on foot in different directions.

Police were able to apprehend Dallas Ivey at the Lexington Country Club on Paris Pike.

Police say they have identified the other suspect, but have not caught him yet.
