Oldham Co. wreck kills two teens from Harlan County High School

OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Two teens have died in a crash in Oldham County Wednesday afternoon.

Oldham County Police say the crash happened southbound on I-71 near exit 14. They say that when they arrived, they located the driver of a 2012 Ford Focus trapped in the vehicle.

Police located three other passenger that were thrown from the vehicle.

Police determined that the Ford Focus left the road and traveled into the center median where it hit a rock cut. They say the cause of the wreck has not been determined at this time.

The driver has been identified as 17-year-old T.C. Somersall. The 15-year-old passenger’s name is not being released due to their age.

The coroner pronounced 18-year-old Selena Gilbert and 20-year-old Tamara Daniels deceased.
