Officials: Whitley Co. man dead after boating accident

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Whitley county man is dead after a boating accident on Laurel Lake Wednesday night, according to officials.

Whitley County Emergency Management Director Danny Moses says the man’s boat hit a rock near Grove Marina, people in the area heard the crash, and then found the man in the water.

The Whitley County Coroner says 60-year-old Lloyd A. Lawson died from his injuries he received in the boating accident.
