Number of flu-related deaths in Fayette County rises

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The number of people in Fayette County who have died from the flu this season has risen to 12, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department.

There have been more than 500 confirmed cases of the flu in the county, according to health department officials.

The health department is offering free flu shots today, February 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at its public health clinic on Newtown Pike.
