North Carolina fugitive arrested in Berea

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fugitive from North Carolina was arrested in Berea on Thursday.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says it was contacted by Salisbury Police in North Carolina asking for help finding an accused armed robber who was suspected to be in Madison County.

With information from Salisbury Police, Madison County Sheriff’s deputies say they found and arrested 44-year old Richard Burlin Agee, of Granite Cory, North Carolina, without incident.

Investigators say Agee is accused of robbing a pharmacy at gunpoint in North Carolina.

Agee was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center in Richmond.
