No injuries after bullet from shooting on La Salle Road hits school bus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There were no students on board a school bus that officers say was hit by a stray bullet during a shooting on La Salle Road Tuesday in Lexington.

Officers say the bus was in the area of the shooting, when the driver heard nearby gunshots.  According to officers, the driver pulled over to inspect the bus and the roof.   This happened around 2:30 p.m. before the driver had picked up any children from school.

Officers say the driver completed his route afterwards, picking up the children from school, and dropping them off at their stops.

Once finished, officers say they inspected the bus, and removed a bullet from the roof.

No one was hurt.
