Nicholasville Mexican restaurant vandalized with the word “TRUMP”

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A popular Mexican restaurant needs the community’s help after someone spray painted political graffiti on its sidewalk.

The vandalism was caught on camera.

Nicholasville Police say early Monday morning, two young men are seen on surveillance video spray painting the word “TRUMP” and an explicit picture on the sidewalk of the Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Brannon Crossing.

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has vowed to build a wall along the southern U.S. border to keep illegal Mexicans out of the country which is why the restaurant thinks the vandalism is all about politics.

“We’re just trying to make a living, we’re not trying to go around and do anything bad,” said Roberto Reyes, who works at the restaurant. “The owners have built this place up and they contribute to the community a lot.”

Nicholasville Police are looking at surveillance video but investigators admit, they don’t have many leads to go on. They’re hoping someone in the community has information.
