Nicholasville Jewelry Store Burglar Caught On Tape

Police say a pawn shop in Jessamine County was burglarized early Monday morning.

Surveillance video from Castle Jewelry and Pawn shows someone breaking into the business just before 5 a.m.

Investigators say around $300 worth of sterling silver was taken. They say someone drilled a hole from the empty business next door and cut through the drywall to get in. The owner of Castle Jewelry and Pawn says there was around $1500 worth of damage done to his store. He is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can provide information for an arrest.

Another business owner says another burglary occurred about an hour earlier and just up the street from the castle at the Mid-American Rare Coin Gallery in Lexington.
The owner speculates that these 2 crimes could be related.
The owner was unsure of the amount taken.
