Nicholasville Fire Department remembers Charles “Bubba” Brumfield

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Nicholasville Fire Department is remembering one of its own, Fire Chief Charles “Bubba” Brumfield.
Brumfield started his career in EMS. Then he spent over 20 years as a Nicholasville firefighter. Even after retiring, the department says Brumfield still visited often. He died last weekend from cancer at 55 years old.

“Chief Brumfield absolutely loved being a part of this group. His family has a long standing tradition within this department and we always have breakfast and functions for our retired guys and he was always one of the first ones there,” says Fire Chief Craig Cox.

A plaque with his name is on the fire truck he last worked on…Which will be driven tomorrow during a procession in his honor.
