New State Police Cruisers Will Be Chevys Instead Of Fords
The agency is moving from the Ford Crown Victoria to the 2012 Chevy Caprice. The Crown Victoria is no longer made.
The Caprice is a full-size, rear-wheel drive sedan developed exclusively for the United States law enforcement market.
The Caprice has a 355-horsepower V-8 engine.
Aging cruisers will be sold at public auction with the proceeds being used to help pay for the new fleet of vehicles.
