New state laws will go into effect on July 14
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Most of the state’s new laws that were approved in the last legislative session go into effect on Saturday, July 14.
Among the new laws, drivers will have to leave at least three feet between their vehicles and cyclists they pass.
Children under the age of 17 can’t get married.
Also, penalties will get tougher for people who post sexually explicit images online without the consent of the person depicted in the image. This is commonly known as revenge porn.
