New resource intended to benefit military students

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Just in time for Veterans Day, the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) announced it’s launching a new initiative to help military students transition to campus.

It is an online resource that will connect soldiers to information that will help them make decisions about their education.

“Kentucky is in a unique position to serve those who serve our county,” CPE President Aaron Thompson said.

This is the first phase of the project. A news release says, “The second phase of the project will outline how each institution assesses educational credits based on unique military experiences, and the third phase will allow potential students the opportunity to compare institutional resources, supports and policies from campus to campus.”

You can find the resource on the Council’s website.
