New Poll Shows Kentuckians Lack Dental Care
That’s according to the latest Kentucky Health Issues Poll conducted by the Foundation For A Healthy Kentucky.
The Foundation focused on dental care for their latest poll since oral health can directly affect general health and overall well-being.
The poll not only found that more than half of Kentucky adults do not have dental insurance, it also found that 39% of adults do not have a regular dentist.
Kentucky also falls behind the national average for the percentage of adults who have seen a dentist in the last year; 61% in the state versus 70% nationwide.
