UPDATE: Not Guilty Plea from Suspect in Teen Shooting Death
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -Kevin Garcia, accused in the November 24th shooting death of 14-year-old Angel Juarez entered a not guilty plea in Lexington District Court on Wednesday.
Garcia was arrested in West Virginia on the 25th and extradited back to Kentucky.
According to court documents, Garcia went to the Juarez home on Henton Road to confront Angel’s brother, whom Garcia believed was involved in setting up a robbery at a neighborhood park.
Garcia reportedly fired shots at the home toward Angel Juarez, who was hit and later died at the hospital.

A man arrested in Angel Juarez’s murder is back in Kentucky.
Police accuse Kevin Garcia in the November 24th murder.
According to court documents, a group that included Juarez’s brother arranged a meeting in a neighborhood park.
During the meeting, the group was robbed.
Some people in the group believed they were set up by Juarez’s brother.
One of them picked up Kevin Garcia and the two went to Juarez’s home at 142 Henton Road to confront the brother, according to documents.
Documents say Garcia fired shots toward Angel Juarez, who was standing on a sidewalk. He was struck and later died at the hospital.
Police found and arrested Garcia in West Virginia the next day.
