New COVID testing site opening two days a week in Woodford

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Beginning Monday, September 13, members of the Woodford County community will have a new, convenient, and free way to get tested for COVID-19.

The Woodford County Health Department, Woodford County Public Schools, the city of Versailles, the Woodford County Government, and Gravity Diagnostics have partnered to bring contactless testing opportunities to the community two days each week.

These community partners have been in collaboration for several weeks, working through the logistics of this opportunity for Woodford County.

In sponsoring this testing site, it is their hope that WCPS families and staff members, in particular, will use the free testing opportunity to help get students back in the classroom sooner after a potential exposure.

The testing site will be at the WCPS Bus Garage, located at 207 Simmons Street.

Community members are asked to use the AP Indy Lane which is the first intersection before entering the garage lot.

This initiative will take place on Monday mornings from 7:00 – 9:00 AM and Thursday afternoons from 2:00 – 6:00 PM.
