New Business Affairs VP at KSU

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentucky State University announced a new Business Affairs Vice president on Friday.

Dr. Curtis E. Creagh was hired as the new VP, and officials say he will begin his duties at KSU on June 16 of this year. Authorities say he has more than 25 years of experience as a financial leader, and 10+ years accounting management experience. Dr. Creagh is also a distinguished U.S. Army veteran, reportedly having shared responsibility of helping the financial viability and management of the university.

“We were fortunate to get such an outstanding educator to join us here at KSU. It became apparent to me as a result of our meetings that he understands the direction that KSU must go in order to be successful. He is the right man at the right time to fill this position,” said Raymond Burse, president of KSU.

“President Burse’s quality of leadership is an attraction for me,” Dr. Creagh said. “Early in life the military taught me that good leaders look behind themselves to see who is following. Remaining aware of who is following you keeps you grounded. For me, seeing the various ones who support him as a dynamic leader and are willing to commit wholeheartedly inspires me and makes this opportunity a promise of personal and professional growth. […]At the end of the day, we all want the best for this institution.”

Dr. Creagh received a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctor of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
