Nearly A Dozen People Forced From Apartments By Fire

Lexington firefighters didn’t have to go far to put out a fire in an apartment complex Friday afternoon.

The fire station is right across the street from The Grand Reserve at Pinnacle on Clearwater Way.

Investigators said a fire broke out in the attic of building 16 at the complex where some contractors were working.  Firefighters said they had the fire knocked down in just 12-minutes.

No one was hurt.

Eleven people were forced to temporarily find another place to stay due to minor water and smoke damage to the building.

No apartments were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
