BPD: Naked woman leads police on chase

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bardstown Police say they were called to an apartment complex Thursday afternoon because a woman was reportedly running around naked outside. Police say when they pulled up, a witness told them that the naked woman, identified by police as 28-year old Stephanie E. Crowe, of Bardstown, had just left in a car.

Police say they pursued Crowe with lights and siren on, but that she wouldn’t pull over. They say at one point she drove through the grass after making a quick turn into a business.

Investigators say Crowe was headed toward Louisville, so Bullitt County sheriff’s deputies put out stop sticks close to Highway 65. Police say the sticks worked and disabled the car, which eventually stopped just off the northbound ramp to Highway 65.

Investigators say in all, eleven law enforcement officers were involved in the pursuit. No one was hurt.

Police say Crowe was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital to be evaluated. Police say a number of charges are pending against her.
