The mystery continues: Madison Co. teen still missing 5 years later

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police still don’t know exactly what happened to a Madison County teenager, years after her suspicious disappearance.

Police say Brookelyn Farthing, 18 at the time, was last seen at a house in Berea on June 22, 2013. Friday marks the fifth year since that day she went missing. Still, she hasn’t been found.

According to state police, Farthing was at a party when she got a ride from a friend who took her to that house on Dillon court.

KSP says she texted family members saying she wanted to come home. Her sister told police Farthing sent a few messages saying she felt “unsafe.”

The homeowner told investigators he left the home and that when he came back, it was on fire and Farthing was gone.

State police say they’ve exhausted several tips as to where Farthing might be. Those, they say, all led them to dead ends.

KSP is offering a $14 thousand reward for information that leads it to Farthing. Anyone who knows anything about what happened the night she disappeared is asked to call investigators at 859-623-2404.
