Murder suspect back in Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The suspect wanted in a Lexington murder earlier this year is back in Kentucky.
21-year-old Devonte Hobbs was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center Wednesday afternoon.
He is charged with murder and robbery.
Police issued a warrant for his arrest just a little over two months after the murder of Timothy Brown.
Court documents say a witness told police Hobbs met up with Brown on January 12th in the McDonalds parking lot off Russell Cave Road to buy drugs.
Documents say during the drug buy, Hobbs pulled out a gun and demanded Brown’s property and, as Brown tried to drive away, Hobbs shot him several times.
Hobbs was arrested in Detroit.
