Murder charge for suspect in Eubanks shooting

EUBANK, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Kentucky State Trooper arrested a Science Hill man Monday night after Pulaski Co. deputies found the man’s half-brother suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to deputies, they received a report of a shooting in Eubank about 10:30 Monday night.  When they got there, they found the victim, who had been shot several times.  They say minutes later, the 911 dispatch center received a call from 21-year-old Christopher Letner.  A state trooper went to Letner’s home and found a handgun.

According to the arrest report, after further investigation the trooper arrested Letner in connection to the shooting.

The victim was taken to UK Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by the Fayette Co. Coroner.  An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
