Multiagency teamwork aids in Lawrenceburg fire

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lawrenceburg Fire Department says everyone is okay after a house fire overnight.

It happened Thursday in the 1000 block of Dan Drive. When firefighters and police arrived, they worked to get the occupants out of the home.

Because of the water supply issue in Lawrenceburg caused by recent weather, the city arranged Anderson County crews to assist with a backup water supply.

City fire crews were able to get a hydrant, that supplied enough water to put out the fire. Anderson county crews assisted with putting out the fire. LFD REHAB team members were also on scene to support the firefighters in the below freezing temperatures.

No one was hurt. The damage was isolated to the fireplace and chimney, according to the fire department.

The American Red Cross was called in to help the residents of the home.
