Mt. Sterling PD say farewell to K9 Officer

MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers with the Mt. Sterling Police Department said farewell to one of their own on Monday, as K9 Officer “Pocko” was put down at the Countryside Animal Hospital.

A message appeared on the police department’s Facebook page that reads as follows:

“Today was a very sad day for Law Enforcement as Officer Allen Neal took K9 Officer Pocko on a final ride through his favorite places before arriving at Countryside Animal Hospital.

Sadly, Pocko is suffering from a terminal disease and had to be put down. Many Law Enforcement Agencies, K9’s that had worked with Pocko and the Fire Department were on hand to show their support and admiration.

Please keep Officer Neal and Pocko in your prayers.

Rest in Peace K9 Officer Pocko, we will take it from here.”
