Motorcyclist killed in collision in Pulaski County

BURNSIDE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was killed Thursday morning when a vehicle pulled into the path of her motorcycle, resulting in a collision, according to Burnside Police. It happened around 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of KY 1247/KY 90 ramp from northbound US 27, according to investigators.

Police say 72-year old Bobby J. Phillips of Oneida, Tennessee, was trying to turn westbound onto KY 90/1247 from the exit ramp when he pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by 45-year old Taralynne A. Seefeldt, of Bronston, Kentucky. The two vehicles collided in thee eastbound lane of KY 1247, causing Seefeldt to be ejected from her motorcycle, according to police.

Investigators say Seefeldt was wearing a helmet and protective motorcycle riding gear, but still sustained fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Phillips was also injured. He was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital by private vehicle, according to police.

The deadly accident remains under investigation by Burnside Police.
