Mother says school security monitor hit her son

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Jefferson County mother says a school security monitor hit her son.

27 year old Quentin Spencer is charged with assault.

He’s accused of punching a 12 year old student in the chest and knocking him into a wall Monday at Price Elementary School.

The student’s mother says her son was walking in the hallway when Spencer called him over, pretended to give him a high five, and instead punched him the chest.

The mother says Quentin told her son not to let him catch the student with his shoes untied again.

JCPS says Spencer has been reassigned to work outside of school until an investigation is finished.
