Mother dies from injuries suffered in home explosion in Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A mother burned in an explosion in Grayson County has died from her injuries, according to her family.

In a Facebook post, her family says 41-year-old Angela Young died on Saturday. They say she and her 7-year-old daughter, Johanna, were burned during an explosion at their home on January 29.

Family members say Young had burns on 80-percent of her body.

According to investigators, the home’s furnace malfunctioned after the propane tank was refilled.
